Guest Posts Galore

Here’s a little secret just between you and me: I’ve been having trouble performing lately. Yeah, I know what you’re thinking but it’s not that (in that area I perform like a chipmunk on a caffeine high). I’m actually talking about in a blogging sense and I guess I’ve just been feeling a little uninspired lately. Maybe it’s just a current dip with the MMORPG genre or a preoccupation with other things in my life but, whatever it is, I’ve decided to take action and try to shake things up a little. My solution? I’d like to write a guest post for your blog.

But there’s a catch. You need to suggest the topic (remember my whole lack of inspiration thing). To be honest, I don’t care what it is. MMORPGs, films, books, politics, fashion, dogs hairdressing, I’ll do my best to write you an article that does your blog and chosen topic justice. In fact, the more obscure the better probably. I’ll also link through to your blog when it goes live. Of course, if you don’t like what I write, there’s absolutely no pressure to publish it (all I ask is that you let me publish it on my blog instead).

So, if you feel like kicking your feet up and having the night off then leave a comment or drop me an email with your desired topic or subject matter and I’ll do my best to respond as soon as possible.

Equally so I’d also be honoured if anyone wants to write a guest post for me to publish here. Again, if interested, just leave a comment or contact me and we can take it from there. If you have any topics you want to write about, all the better, but if not, then I’m sure we can brainstorm something together.

Otherwise, if none of that takes your fancy, feel free to shout out some topics that you’d like me to cover here. I need some mental Viagra for my drooping inspiration.

Let me think something up for you, G. If you don’t hear anything from me in the next day or two shoot me a line in twitter to remind me.

I just posted about how the MMO niche never does guest posting on each others blogs like most other blogging niches. It looks like I might have to retract my post. I would be up for doing it, but let me think of something to write about, and something for you to write about on mine.

    • Yeah, I’ve noticed that people tend not to guest post much either. I think it’s possibly because most bloggers either never consider it or are too shy. I’m always open to people wanting to guest post here (gives me the night off) if anyone’s interested.

If you think of a topic, let me know!

i don’t have a blog and i’m not much of a writer but i might be able to help with inspiration.

recently there was an interesting article on about net neutrality… i guess i’d just like to hear what you and other bloggers think about the issue.

    here’s the link –

might let you step out of the MMO sphere and explore something a little different…

Be careful bro. Remember what happened with your last guest post … ?

I wrote today about why I am fed up with players using damage meters to evaluate dps players. Perhaps you could write your take on that same subject. I would prefer something designed to upset a lot of people so as to drive more hits. You know how it is.

    • Yeah, I misjudged the audience with that one :P TBH, I’m still not convinced it was really that provocative ;) (I’m gonna regret saying that!) Also Matt was under no obligation to post it so he must have enjoyed it too. At the end of the day, I’m happy for my guest posts to be refused if the blogger doesn’t like them – I’d do the same.

I’m not interested in writing things that will upset people. I try to inject a bit of humour and, sometimes, debate into my articles but I don’t want to try and just purposefully piss people off :) Anyhoo, I can swing an article your way and see what you make of it although it may be a little tame for your tastes ;)

You should do a monthly random challenge where people on the site can vote for a totally different subject for you to blog on each month. It could be anything… marsupials, the napoleonic wars, toe-jam and earl, anything.

If you don’t mind perpetual optimism, I’d be more than happy to swap articles. Let’s talk over email.

Gordon, I’m working on getting the community site up that was mentioned in passing on your Permadeath post. So if you want to cook something up for that, you’d probably be the first one to post on there aside from me :D

If you can write a blog with a moonkin angle, I won’t mind letting you make a guest post. Maybe “Why the hate?” or “Gotta love chickens” or something. That would be mostly up to you ;)

Or, we could do a trade? I write for you, you write for me, everybody is happy :P let me know if you have any prefs :P
