The Best Of The Rest: Dick O’Clock Edition

The only image I could find of Spartacus: Blood and Sand that didnt contain nudity. Was fun looking though.

Ah Sunday evening. A time for reflecting on the previous weeks activities and denying the upcoming week. We cling onto every precious moment of the last few hours of the weekend, trying to fool ourselves that we don’t really need seven hours sleep and that every minute less with our head on the pillow is another moment more of pure blissful weekend freedom. Unfortunately I can’t do much about the impending daybreak but I can reflect upon the last week’s blogging shenanigans…

And if you’re wondering about the title of this week’s link love post it’s because I wanted to give special mention to an article by, probably, Britain’s best writer, Charlie Brooker (or simply C-Brook to his friends). In an article for the Guardian newspaper he takes a brief look at the premiere of Spartacus: Blood and Sand on UK TV and lavishly describes it’s full-on blood, sex and nudity. I’m incredibly curious to watch the show now although I’ll take his advice and refrain from watching it with my mum.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand, which already finished its run in the US, was far better than I expected it to be. It starts off very basic and violent, but if you can get through the first few episodes, the story and intrigue are great, and the finale is fantastic.

Spartacus was my families number one show this year. Have not seen anything like it on TV in quite a while.
Like everyone says, as the series progresses, the events lead to a great ending.

I concur with Jason. Spartacus is/was a great show. The first episode was dreadful, I almost completely gave up on it half way through. At the end of the first episode it took my several weeks to give the second episode a shot.

Simply survive the first episode… Let the story build and by the fourth, you’ll be hooked.

You get to see Xena warrior princess’s tittays too in Spartacus. lmao
