We Fly Spitfires Turns Two Today
Fact: I started this blog the day after I got engaged. Yep, I know where my priorities lie.
Christmas Day is for opening presents, getting stuffed on food and spending time with la familia (I’m talking about one’s family and not the Mexican drug cartel, of course). It’s also a day for blogging, sneaking in MMO play time and dodging horrendous amounts of incoming wife aggro, all things I’m very good at considering this blog was born on Christmas Day exactly two years ago. To put it another way, it’s this itty-bitty-bloggy-woggy’s second birthday. Huzzah!
It’s a strange feeling for me to realise that I’ve been blogging for two years now as it only seems like yesterday when I started. Back then the idea of even lasting past a month seemed utterly ludicrous but here I am, almost 500 posts later, still going strong. For sure I feel lucky that I’ve tapped into a hobby that I deeply enjoy and find very fulfilling but I think I’ve also been blessed with some fantastic readers who have kept me inspired and motivated. As the popularity of the blog continues to climb, I become even more stunned and flattered in equal measures.
So to you, all of my lovely readers, thank you for being there and putting up with all of the nonsense, terrible jokes, childish innuendo and sexuality frustrated MMORPG comparisons that this blog brings. I couldn’t have done it with you.
Oh and merry Christmas.

P.S. Some people probably think I’m mad for starting a blog on Christmas Day and they’d be absolutely right. Take it from me, if you’re just itching to get a blog rolling then it’s probably one of the worst days of the year to do it. But if you really have to (and respect to you, yo), at least wait until everyone’s opened their presents…
