About

Oh… hi. I didn’t see you there. I’ll just be a sec. Ok, I’m ready. I suppose I better tell you a little about myself then…

My name is Gordon and this is my blog about MMORPGs (Massively Mutliplayer Roleplaying Games) - or just MMOs for short - and all things geeky. If you have no idea what that last sentence was about then you are very far away from your crib, Holmes.

I’ve been playing MMOs since April 1999 and one could say that I have a passion for them. They are my hobby. My hobby! But a passion none the less. I’ve tried most MMOs that have crept up over the years but the ones I played the most were Everquest and Everquest 2 although I’m now enjoying a stretch on World of Warcraft. I’ve never been a “hardcore” gamer but I still like to think of myself as a wise old veteren… and it’s time to share my mind.

Gordon was born on the mean-streets of suburban Holland and learned to fist fight without remorse in steel cage matches at an early age. He now lives in Edinbrugh with his wife and their imaginary Nigerian bodyguard, Mr Itunu.

I am very far away from my crib, indeed. Where is the a$$ picture that makes grown folks cry? You threw it out there on WSL, I immediately went to check…and nada. Tease.

  2. Where did the name “We Fly Spitfires” come from? Checked your MMO history and didn’t notice any massively multiplayer WWII flight sims (i.e. Warbirds, Aces High, WWII Online, etc).

      It’s either:

A metaphor for soaring above the clouds and travelling beyond our means, showing us that nothing is impossible, everything is possible and our inner potential is limitless.

      OR

A cool phrase I picked up as a kid.

Either way, unfortunately it has nothing to do with WWII :(

For some reason, whenever I see the name of your blog, my mind processes it as “We Spit Fireflies”.
